Our Catholic Action
The poor:
We work closely with the independent St. Francis - St. Joseph Catholic Worker House of Cincinnati. Two of our members are on the board of trustees, supporting the homeless shelter in its mission to help homeless men get off the streets and back to productive society, and our volunteers at the soup kitchen have handed out over thirty-five hundred lunches.
The youth:
We’ve built a community for young Catholic men in our region, organizing sports events like soccer, baseball, flag football, bowling, paintball, and laser tag, as well as trivia, game, and movie nights.
The elderly:
We’ve done over a hundred visits to the elderly. We’ve kept them company, prayed the rosary and shared Sunday readings with faithful from our own chapels, as well as joined the Cincinnati Internal Folk Dancers group of retirees, sharing old world culture and dancing with our elders.
The Church:
We have members who are servers at our chapels, up to Masters of Ceremonies, or sing in the choirs. We also organize rosary processions at pilgrimage sites and cemeteries, praying for the restoration of the Church and for our faithful departed.
